Tax Debt Relief Group is a Central Florida–based tax resolution firm led by Peter Kici, Enrolled Agent and USMC veteran. We specialize in helping individuals and small businesses resolve IRS problems — from unfiled returns and back taxes to active levies and wage garnishments.

As a federally licensed Enrolled Agent, Peter is authorized by the IRS and the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers at every level of the IRS — including audits, collections, and appeals. This is the highest credential the IRS issues to tax practitioners.
Below is a full overview of what we offer. If you’re not sure which service fits your situation, the best first step is a free consultation — we’ll review your case and walk you through every option available to you.
IRS Representation
Dealing with the IRS directly can be overwhelming, time-consuming, and costly if you don’t know the rules. We represent you so you don’t have to go it alone.
As your authorized representative, we communicate with the IRS on your behalf, respond to notices, and advocate for a resolution that protects your rights as a taxpayer. Whether you’re facing an audit, a collections officer, or an appeals hearing, we handle the process from start to finish.
This service covers:
- IRS audit representation and response
- IRS collections defense
- IRS appeals representation
- Power of Attorney filing (IRS Form 2848)
- Transcript and account investigation — we find out exactly what the IRS has on you

Tax Debt Resolution
If you owe the IRS more than you can pay, there are several programs designed to help you resolve that debt — often for less than the full amount owed, or on terms you can actually manage. The right solution depends on your income, assets, and overall financial picture.
We assess your complete situation and recommend the path that gives you the best possible outcome. Here are the primary resolution options we work with:
Installment Agreement
A structured monthly payment plan that lets you pay off your tax debt over time. We negotiate the lowest possible monthly payment based on your actual ability to pay — not just what the IRS initially demands.
Offer in Compromise (OIC)
An IRS program that allows qualifying taxpayers to settle their debt for less than the full amount owed. OICs are based on your “reasonable collection potential” — what the IRS realistically expects to collect from you. We build the strongest possible case to support your offer.
Currently Not Collectible (CNC) Status
If your financial situation makes it impossible to pay anything right now, we can apply to have your account placed in CNC status. This pauses IRS collection activity — no levies, no garnishments — while your status is in effect.
Penalty Abatement
The IRS charges significant penalties on top of the base tax debt — but in many cases, those penalties can be reduced or eliminated through first-time penalty abatement or reasonable cause relief. This can make a meaningful difference in what you actually owe.
Innocent Spouse Relief
If your tax debt stems from a spouse’s or ex-spouse’s errors or omissions, you may be able to separate yourself from that liability. We evaluate whether you qualify and handle the application process with the IRS.
Back Tax Filing & Compliance Restoration
If you have unfiled tax returns, you can’t access most IRS resolution programs until you’re back in compliance. Getting compliant also stops the IRS from filing Substitute for Return (SFR) assessments on your behalf — which are almost always calculated in the IRS’s favor, not yours.
We handle the preparation and filing of past-due returns for individuals and small businesses, minimize the additional tax triggered where possible, and get you into a position where real resolution can begin.

IRS Levy & Bank Account Seizure Defense
An IRS bank levy freezes your account and gives the bank 21 days before turning your funds over to the IRS. If you’ve received a Final Notice of Intent to Levy, time is critical.
We step in immediately — filing the appropriate requests, communicating directly with the IRS, and working to stop the levy before your funds are seized. In many cases, a levy can be released before the 21-day window closes.

Wage Garnishment Release
IRS wage garnishment is aggressive — the IRS can take a significant portion of your paycheck, leaving you with barely enough to cover basic expenses. Unlike a bank levy, garnishment continues every pay period until it’s released.
We contact the IRS, establish your case, and work to get the garnishment released — often within days. We then put a longer-term resolution in place to keep the IRS from reinstating it.

Tax Preparation — Individuals & Small Businesses
For clients who are current on their filings, we offer individual and small business tax return preparation with the same attention to detail and compliance focus that runs through everything we do. If you’ve previously resolved a tax debt, staying current on filings is part of keeping your agreement with the IRS — we make that easy.
We prepare returns for:
- Individual taxpayers (W-2 employees, retirees, investors)
- Self-employed professionals and freelancers
- Small businesses (sole proprietors, LLCs, S-Corps)
- Taxpayers with complex situations — multiple states, back years, amended returns
Frequently Asked Questions About Our Services
What is an Enrolled Agent?
An Enrolled Agent (EA) is a federally licensed tax professional authorized by the IRS and the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers in all matters before the IRS — audits, collections, and appeals. It’s the highest credential the IRS issues to practitioners, above CPAs and attorneys in the specific area of IRS representation.
Who can Peter Kici represent before the IRS?
As a federally licensed Enrolled Agent, Peter can represent any individual or business taxpayer before the IRS in all 50 states, at all administrative levels.
How do I know which resolution option is right for me?
That’s exactly what the free consultation is for. We review your specific situation — what you owe, how many years, your income and assets — and explain every option available to you before any work begins.
Can you stop an IRS levy or wage garnishment quickly?
Often yes. The IRS is required to release a levy when certain conditions are met. With proper representation, a release can sometimes be obtained within days of engaging us.
Do you work with both individuals and businesses?
Yes — individuals, self-employed professionals, freelancers, and small business owners. If the IRS is involved, we can help.
